The Dirty Delusions formed in the early summer heat of an East Nashville storage unit in May 2016.
Guitarist/vocalist Aaron Billiot and drummer Jacob Smith had already been at work cultivating a sound and vision for their garage rock band that with the addition of bassist/vocalist Charley Smotherman could now congeal into a complete 3-piece. Frenetically writing and practicing throughout summer, they readied their sound which emerged into the Nashville circuit just in time for August. Playing as many shows as possible they built a following, finding a home for their high energy rock 'n' roll. Throughout the winter they continued playing shows while also recording their debut EP in the basement of their new practice space. Their debut EP, The Dirty Delusions, was released in mid April with a celebratory show at The Cobra, one of Nashville's best local rock 'n' roll venues. With music now released, they spent the summer building fans and embarking on regional tours. Dark Eyes was released as a single on the one year anniversary of their first show. Heading into Winter 2017, they continue work on their second release that is sure to please any fan of energetic but melodic rock 'n' roll.
