Bethel was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, and moved to Houghton, Michigan where she grew up listening to Country and Seventies Rock music. Drawing on influences from Tom Petty, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac and Willie Nelson, and others, she spent her teenage years traveling and performing across the upper Midwest. Bethel self-released her first record at age 17, and the following year she moved to Nashville. Over a six-year period, she released three well-received independent albums.
Bethel’s 2018 video “Train” was featured as a CMT Music Artist Discovery. She was also welcomed as a member of the Song Suffragettes, a collective of some of the best and brightest female artists working in Nashville today.
Bethel has received critical acclaim from Billboard, The Washington Post, Maverick Magazine, The Boot, and many other outlets. Her latest video "Rhinestone Rodeo" is currently airing on CMT Music and TCN.
