From the sunny shores of Brighton, Giant Peach met at the University at Sussex, becoming good friends through a variety of bands and projects flowing through the campus music scene. After graduating, they continued to write and record music together for a number of years.
Forming as Giant Peach in 2017, the four-piece took inspiration from Alvvays, the War on Drugs, Arctic Monkeys, and Tame Impala to create an indie/dream-pop live set full of powerful riffs, levitating 80s synths, canorous melodies, and tightly-packed harmonies.
Their debut single ‘Melatonin’ was released in June 2018 through Beth Shalom Records. It is an expansive, warm and dreamy track that lyrically explores issues of depression and imposter syndrome.
