Born in Wilmington, Delaware and raised in Jacksonville, North Carolina, T. Walker is an undeniably talented lyricist and story teller who has often been compared to the likes of Andre3000 due to his word play, vernacular, creativity, and subject matter.
Growing up in the south, he got his start, singing in the choir and while in college, released his first official mixtape “I Am Technology” in February 2010. You can hear the growth and evolution of his life and artistry over time within his three albums “Static” (2015), “Strictly4MyNegus: Act I” (2016), and “Strictly4MyNegus: Act II” (2017). T. Walker’s latest EP, “Fr33 Thought” (2018) was released right before his “Heavy Energy” Tour. He continued his work on the road during his “2020 Vision Tour” where he landed in various cities such as Portland, Seattle, Philadelphia, Nashville, Charlotte, Raleigh, Washington, D.C. and more performing on SoFar Sounds stages. During the tour, he released two singles, “Grateful” and “Beat The Odds”, which showed a turning point in his work. You can hear his musical influences (Jay Z, Lil Wayne, Andre 3000, Z-Ro, DMX, Kirk Franklin and 90’s r&b) peak through his relevant, conscience and melodic flows, with words and metaphors that hit like darts.
