Montauk Hotel made an impressive impact on the Dublin live music scene with shows including The Last Mixed Tape’s Lost Tapes series, The Sound House, The Bowery, Bello Bar, Whelan’s and Sin E and playing alongside acts such as PINS, Paddy Hanna, Beauty Sleep and Jem Mitchell. They continued their live presence in 2017 with headline shows in venues including Whelan's, Sin E, Retro Revival Indie Club, The Harbour Bar and The Workman's, as well as slots at Vantastival, Park After Dark festival, Whelan's Ones to Watch and Sunflower festival. They performed at First Music Contact's Music Marathon for Simon Community on Grafton Street, sharing the bill with acts like The Strypes and Delorentos. Montauk Hotel were named RTE's Irish Band Set to Rise 2017.
Their debut single ‘Black Dress’ was released in late January to critical acclaim. Montauk Hotel launched their E.P. on March 10th with a sold-out show in Whelans, Dublin.
The band released their latest single 'Sense of Place' in August 2017 with a fantastic response from RTE, 2fm, The Irish Times, The Last Mixed Tape, Nialler9 and The Thin Air.
