With his accordion on his shoulder, Pietro Roffi has traveled the world.
Born in 1992, he began playing the accordion at the age of six and graduated with full marks and honourable mention at the Conservatory “S. Cecilia” in Rome. He made debut as soloist at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome with the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia playing a Serenata composed by the Oscar winner Dario Marianelli to celebrate the 90th birthday of Ennio Morricone, in the presence of the President of the Italian Republic. Pietro carries out an intense concert activity and he performed in more than one hundred and fifty concerts all over the world. He went on tour in Italy, in the United Kingdom (playing Domenico Scarlatti's sonatas), China, Malta, Lithuania (playing the Goldberg Variations by Johann Sebastian Bach), Argentina, Romania (at the Romanian Athenaeum), Germany (playing at the Die Glocke in Bremen), Australia, Spain, Brasil, Croatia and Norway. In 2018 he published a live EP dedicated to Astor Piazzolla with the pianist Alessandro Stella. Pietro also made his debut as a composer by publishing a CD for the Italian label INRI Classic, 1999. He recently recorded the soundtrack of Pinocchio (Colonna Sonora Originale) (by Matteo Garrone with Roberto Benigni) written by Dario Marianelli.
