The Steven Blane Band has completed a new album entitled "Motel Blue" which will to be released in April 2018.
It features Nashville recording artist Rachel Horter on vocals. Prior to that album Steven has released four others. His last two albums, "I Confess" produced by White Heart core member Billy Smiley and recorded in Nashville, and his Lake Worth, Florida recorded-in-a-shed album, "The Shed Sessions" have received excellent reviews and a lot of airplay on Radio Stations across the country.
As a young boy in Jersey City, his grandma stood him on a table at a Knights of Pythias Talent Show. Singing “Delilah,” Tom Jones style, in front of a supportive audience left a profound effect on Steven. Years later, when college was over, he plotted his escape to NYC. Once there, hewas cast in a Broadway Show as a guitar playing gypsy. (He still has his Actor's Equity and SAG cards :-)
He lived on 8th Street in the Village in NYC. He wrote an Off-Off Broadway Rock Opera and had one of his songs performed on the original "Star Search." He headed down the road to Nashville. 100 miles later he turned around, went back to NYC and married the love of his life and became an audio-book producer.
He also became a Cantor and a Rabbi.
Steven writes and performs in the Americana genre and his songs and lyrics reflect his musings on relationships, faith, love and fantasy. Steven plays guitar, piano and ukulele and performs as a solo artist or with The Steven Blane Band.
