Andrea Bedetti - Journalist and Professor of Philosophy and Aesthetics of Music at the UniTre in Milan Born in 1987 into a musicians family, Matilda began studying cello at the age of 4. Winner of many chamber music competitions (European Music Competition – Moncalieri, National Music Competition, “International Competion Anemos – Rome, International Music Competition London “Grand Prize Virtuoso”), she specialized in the repertoire for cello and piano at the International Piano Academy of Imola and later at the Academy of Music in Fusignano. Matilda is a regular guest artists in the main Festivals and Concert Institutions of Italy; she has performed in Europe (France, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, Great Britain) and in China (Beijing, Tianjn, Yangzhou, Chengdu and Harbin). She is cellist of Trio Zandonai. Matilda is Brilliant Classics Recording Artist (Arensky Piano Trios, Trio Carducci - December 2018) She collaborated with the pianist Stefano Ligoratti with whom she published (in July 2019) the complete recording of compositions for cello and piano by L. v. Beethoven for Da Vinci Classics's label. Matilda is the first Italian woman to have recorded the Complete 6 Suites for Solo Cello by Johann Sebastian Bach published by the label Da Vinci Classics.
