Before Tungevaag & Raaban there was Martin Tungevaag and Robbin Söderlund. Two separate forces of EDM, gaining momentum in the two neighboring countries of Norway and Sweden. A couple of years later, after online chats and a strictly web based collaboration, they met to become Tungevaag & Raaban. Speculations about each others personality and height were soon put to rest. Together, they were both about to go big. After the release of the hit «Samsara» in 2014, the roads to top charts and international gigs were paved with plaques. «Russian roulette» ruled the Scandinavian lists in 2016, even beating Adele in Finland when she was topping charts around the globe.
They both enjoy every creative aspect of making music. Take the «Samsara» music video, where monkey-costumes and tickets to Thailand were bought – and the rest became a product of good times and improvisation. Tungevaag & Raaban trademark might be fun magic-making on the spot, but they also master the patient craft of turning that energy into great music. Not to forget, by joining forces, there’s always the extra idea to make the track go crazy (Raaban, being the studio techie can compose a track in minutes, but it’s not done until they both have had countless hours with it).
