LJ moved to Nashville in 2016, and within a year she landed a publishing deal with RED Creative Group.
LJ and RED decided to bring fans into her songwriting process by releasing music shortly after she was writing them. LJ wanted to allow the fans to grow with her and be a part of each step of her journey. The releases began in the spring of 2019 as she delivered a series of four singles which she would later bundle with an additional track to complete her debut EP release, Pick Me, by March of 2020. By the third single, LJ had surpassed a million streams in 6 months. Within a year, LJ approached 2.5 million streams independently.
By the summer of 2020 LJ neared her fourth year as a professional songwriter in Music City. She, along with producers Paul DiGiovanni(Boys Like Girls/Jordan Davis) and Jeremy Stover(Justin Moore/Drake White), began recording the first three singles from her sophomore project. LJ has identified her lane within the county genre, and is ready to release the new music by year's end. The new songs have much to reveal about LJ, as she delivers honest stories, coupled with her fresh melodic approach and cool confidence, all of which continue to captivate and expand her fanbase.
