At once aurally expansive, visually seductive, and cleverly compelling, Mirage's impressive debut album "It's Been a Pleasure" fuses experimental rock and fresh neo-soul vibes together with modern prog, jazz, and a dose of electronic chaos.
Based out of Gainesville, Florida, the band formed in late 2016 and has been quickly captivating audiences with an extremely high-energy live show, seamlessly winding between bright, powerful melodies and dark, menacing grooves. The synergy found from each members' influence on Mirage's sound is a true testament to Gainesville's beautifully diverse musical ecosystem. Originally an instrumental band for the first half of 2017, the addition of vocalist Tessa Register introduced a whole new dynamic to the group's already powerful sound. "It's Been a Pleasure" was recorded less than two months after she joined Mirage.
In early 2018 vocalist Tessa Register and original keyboardist Arun Katikala left the band, replaced by Court Carnaby on vocals and Jarrett Haines (of Just Neighbors) on keys. With the addition of these members, Mirage is: Marty Parks (bass, synth, samples, electronics, programming), David Hoffman (guitar), Noah Woolard (drums), Jarrett Haines (keys, synth), and Court Carnaby (vocals). Their newest single "West Palm Charmander" is available now.
