Somewhere in the intersection of indie, pop and electronic lies young Toronto-based Chinese-Canadian producer, songwriter and artist Ken Gao.
Having a musical foundation on the piano, Ken eventually discovered his calling with music production at age 12 and started making beats and remixes. In 2017, he released Open Sky. The EP's title track, featuring viral YouTube cover artist Elise Hsiung (Silv3rt3ar), became an organic breakthrough track and put him on the radars of listeners around the world.
In 2018, he released Pictures, Vol. 1, the first instalment of a series with themes of nostalgia and memories. Enlisting the help of vocalists, including Sing! China season 2 contestant Curley G, Ken aimed to paint a nostalgic moment in the listener’s mind.
In 2020, he debuted his new project Kennen, to explore 80's inspired electronic pop sounds and to share his message as a singer.
