KP released his first single “Run it Back” in August of 2018, and in December he dropped his first EP, Nottoway, which included fan-favorite songs such as “Talk That,” “Drenched,” and “League of My Own,” the latter in which he creatively outed himself with the line, “Yeah, I suck ****, and still keep it straight, but I ain’t never claim that I’m bi.” By staying true and honest to himself, KP has been able to form a bond with his listeners and has quickly made waves in the New Orleans music scene.
In December of 2018, KP accompanied the drop of his EP with a performance at locally famed venue Tipitina’s, and in the following March of 2019, he opened for Big Freedia at One Eyed Jacks for Freedia Gras. KP has performed at The House of Blues New Orleans, The Howlin’ Wolf, The Art Garage, and has recently moved his bi-monthly show, The Pantry, to Oz New Orleans where he performs alongside other budding LGBTQ and LGBTQ+ local talent.
