    Steal You
Formed in 2018, Blackpool Mecca have had a busy first year. From their debut gig at food festival Yum East, they now have over 40 shows across 5 states under their belt, honing a set that veers from blistering fuzz pop, to lighter-waving, shoegaze-y balladeering, to riff-laden glam swagger.
After test-driving and polishing their material in sweaty dives and rowdy house parties, they recorded five songs with engineer Dave Hagen. Mixed and mastered by Kolton Lee, whose credits include notable work with Moon Taxi, Kaleo, and City and Colour, the recordings are a straightforward performance of their live repertoire, a bracing, authentic snapshot of their raucous club sound.
Blackpool Mecca is Baxter White (vocals, guitar), Kristofer Jedd (guitar), Jameson Cunningham (bass), and Caleb Hughes (drums). Baxter and Kris began collaborating while working together at Meinl Percussion Factory in Inglewood. They bonded over a mutual love of the Pixies and a desire to have fun and make the sort of music they wanted to hear. Though each member brings disparate influences to the table, ranging from top 40 bubblegum pop to obscure 60's psychedelic singles, together they have distilled a fresh rock 'n' roll sound for the modern age. Andy Herrin of rock station 102.9 The Buzz showcased their unreleased track "Steal You" in June and premiered "Boys" on his show "The Local Buzz" the night of the release.
