    Wales - Acoustic
Luca emerges into the musical ether that rare thing – the real deal; a unique, captivating voice with the lyrics that belie a troubadour character worth noting.
The 27-year-old songwriter from London, who spent his childhood living vicariously through the mad dreams of the book-characters he loved, heard Leonard Cohen's "Suzanne” one day and was promptly moved to pick up the guitar himself. He began writing his own music and “Wales” has become his first track from a debut body of work set to be released next year.
His inspirations are drawn up from the cultural bedrock of songwriters: Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Sam Cooke, Neil Young and Nick Drake. Luca would then come across newer enthralling iterations in Anohni, Joanna Newsom and Patrick Watson; The Shins, Neutral Milk Hotel, Eliott Smith. Luca shares with these writers the ability to place you inside a story, and keep you there.
Luca’s debut album is currently being recorded with Bristol-based producer Dan Brown, and “Wales” marks the first of a number of tracks before the album itself. Speaking on the track, Luca states: “'Wales' is the story of not being quite ready when you find the thing you truly love, and just missing out on it, and later realising that that’s alright; because for a while you had it and that was a very special thing indeed."
