“On the Way Home” started In the summer of 2015. I felt lost. I’d grown so restless playing the same shows, with the same set list, writing the same things, that I packed everything I owned in to the back of a Ford Focus and moved myself halfway across the country.
Finally finding my rest in Austin Texas. I’ll be honest, I didn’t really have a plan and I don’t know what I expected to find… But I had a room at an InTown Suites motel off North Lamar, my two guitars, a couple of note pads, and the promise to myself that I would make this work. To me, “On the Way Home” is about the search for everything, the search for anything, and the search for a place to call home. And sometimes, you find out that home isn’t always a place or a destination, but where you choose to make it.
