David started then his solo musical career as “El Pescao”, an alias inspired by a song of “El Canto del Loco”. His first solo album “Nada Lógico”, released in 2010, got directly to the second position on Top sellers charts in Spain, selling over 30,000 copies and getting the Golden Record reward. After a 3 years long tour with more 280 shows all over the Spanish geography where he presented the album, David spent a year in Argentina searching new sounds, beats and ideas for his second album "Ultramar".
In 2016, David Otero leaves his former alias “El Pescao” and takes a step forward using his own name for his next album, “David Otero” (jan 2017, Sonymusic Spain)
Co-produced by himself and Tato Latorre, the album was # 1 in Itunes, and #3 on the sales charts. The repertoire includes ‘Una vez más' and 'Aire' which has been one of the most radiated songs in Spain throughout the year 2017.
David Otero is now recording in the studio and “Jardin de Flores” is the first single that advances his imminent new album.
