Bee Kay Esq.

Bee Kay Esq. is a criminal defense attorney by day and a radical fat queer performance artist and activist most other times. "Lies I Tell Myself About Myself," their debut album, tells the story of the codependency and questionable self-worth that come in the wake of sexual violence. Initially a sort of landing pad for excess emotions, the album caught the ear of genius-madman producer and collaborator Mr. Gadget and began to take on such life that it started to seem like something worth sharing. Together, Bee Kay Esq. and Mr. Gadget use inhuman instruments to give voice to human vulnerability with beats that invite just enough dancing to feel slightly less dead. It is an album for (and by) the kind of people who want to roll their windows down, crank their speakers up, and rock out with their existential dread out. "Lies I Tell Myself About Myself" will be released on December 8, 2018.
