Several years of experimentation, arguments, and a development deal with Vero Music were needed to find their unique alt pop sound. The Wolf would continue to write songs for Dana to sing, using her stories and perspective as the muse. Topics range from millennial struggles in the workplace to experimenting with non-monogamy.
Their first music videos premiered on Billboard and Clash Magazine, their singles being played on KCRW, Spotify’s Viral 50, New Music Friday, Apple’s Best of the Week, and topping the HypeM Charts. Huffpost called them “the rebellious and fearless leaders that we have been waiting for,” and that “the entire music industry has been shaken upside down with the duo charging the front line full speed ahead.”
DATW’s debut album set to release in 2021 centers on Dana’s toxic secondary relationship and in many ways is a better-late-than-never coming of age for millennials.
