I’m a Grammy Award-watching singer/songwriter. A graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, I’ve won awards such as YoungArts' Best Popular Voice and Cappies' Critics Choice for Best Female Vocalist.
In 2016, I released my self-titled debut EP on iTunes and Spotify, among other sites. In addition to writing and performing my own music, I do topline writing for artists in markets around the world in the pop, folk, rock, and R&B genres.
My music is...
A way for me to have meaningful conversations with total strangers. I hate small talk. My songs are personal, but my hope is that they tap into feelings and experiences many people can relate to. That, and a pure love of music, is why I do what I do.
Who inspires me
I’m obsessed with Carole King — her life story and her music. Tapestry was the first time she wrote her own lyrics, and they’re just amazing. Her music is so bittersweet. I would love to sit down and have a drink with her. Also: Joan Baez, Judy Collins, Joni Mitchell, Jeff Beck, Joss Stone, Nao, Lake Street Dive, Lianne La Havas, James Blake, Suzanne Sundfør, and Margaret Glaspy.
“Just do it.” Nike kinda ripped me off with that one. Rude! (But seriously, my work ethic is pretty insane.)
I’m horrendously bad at jazz hands.
