Founded in the college town of Purchase, New York, Crying are an indie trio whose tuneful sound evolved from Gameboy-induced chiptune pop to include more layered '70s and '80s-inspired classic rock styles.
Comprising Elaiza Santos (vocals), Ryan Galloway (guitars, synths, Gameboy), and Nick Corbo (drums), Crying first introduced their poppy 8-bit-assisted sound on 2014's Get Olde EP, which Run for Cover re-released later that year paired with another EP, Second Wind. After a couple of years touring with bands like Modern Baseball and Somos, they released their debut full-length, Beyond the Fleeting Gales, in 2016. ~ Timothy Monger, Rovi
