Born in California’s Bay Area and living now in Harlem, NY, DIY artist Kisos crafts vulnerable alt-pop with an R&B edge.
He learned multiple instruments including flute, marimba, and french horn by the time he graduated high school. However, it wasn’t until college when he joined his university’s gospel choir that he began to cultivate the voice that defines his music.
Summer 2016 he released his gloomy, self-produced debut single “Symmetry.” It pulled the attention of industry publications, including Baeble Music, who said, “we just found our next little secret…Kisos's voice is filled with soul and vulnerability." They went on to compare his sound to fellow queer artists and rising powerhouses Troye Sivan and Years and Years.
"Deatomize (feat. Kirsten Izer)" and a collaboration with rising electronic producer DeModa, "Moments," followed in April 2017, both premiered on popular music & culture site PopDust and opened up windows to larger audiences.
Kisos is currently finishing his debut EP Voices, set to release in early 2018, and working on even more music to drop soon thereafter.
