Raised in Jos, Nigeria by parents who poured their diverse musical tastes—Rock, Blues, Jazz, R&B—into their daughter's eager, outstretched ears, she shaped these influences into her own: a genre-fluid one with fusions of these elements.
She has work credits as a collaborator and a featured artist in projects of M.I. Abaga, Jesse Jagz, Laolu Senbanjo, Sonti Mndebele — and also worked with Tom Arthurs, Morgan Guerin and Vijay Iyer.
In 2013, Lindsey released Brown, her EP which got her an RFI Prix Découvertes Award in the same year and her album, '...And The Bass Is Queen. ' in 2016.
She is an Art OMI: Music 2017 Fellow, a BANFF Jazz And Creative Music 2018 Alum., Red Bull Music Academy (RBMA) 2018 Alum and a British Council ColabNowNow 2019 Art Alum.
