Nigerian-born singer/songwriter, Lindsey Abudei's immersive and organic sound is influenced by diverse genres -Rock, Blues, Classical, R&B, Jazz, Soul and acts like Roberta Flack, Stevie Wonder, The Beach Boys, Sade, Eva Cassidy, Sarah McLachlan, Lauryn Hill.
After a short stint doing backups for South African singer, Sonti Mndebele, and being the lead singer for a local jazz band, The Jazzcats, Lindsey has had features in MI Abaga's "Talk About It", "Illegal Music" and Jesse Jagz' "Jag Of All Trades".
A second runner-up for Radio France Internationale's Prix Découvertes in 2013 and recently, a 2017 Art OMI Music: Fellow, she has made a stamp with her sound -especially with her two projects: Brown: The EP(2013) and her new album, '...And The Bass Is Queen.' (2016).
On Lindsey's new album, singer/songwriter and producer, Cobhams Asuquo says,
