Influenced by the likes of Ben Howard and Bon Iver, Bernier made his professional debut in February 2018 with Where the Light Won't Reach. WTLWR was written and recorded during a three week period in late 2017 into early 2018. Entirely self produced, the project was made using solely a Fender Stratocaster and an SM58.
His second release, 9 N Park St., predates the first in its conception. Made during the course of 2016-17 this collaboration, produced by Daniel Loumpouridis, shows a different side of Berniers writing entirely, encapsulating a more beat driven context, formulated from the likes of Frank Ocean and Bon Iver’s “22, a Million”.
His third EP, a six song, self-produced work a day without rain is out now. It is intended as a portrait of Miami FL during the summer, the season in which it was created.
All Vocals/Instruments/Production on WTLWR and ADWR are Bernier.
