The journey to find his musical fusion between melody and melancholy; vibrance and simplicity did not come overnight. His youth in Colombia was spent discovering instruments like guitar and bass; and eventually producing hip hop. It was his decision to break free from genres, producing from inspiration and collaborating with gifted vocalists such as Jenni Potts that started an avalanche of new fans in 2016.
This year has been even more of a breakthrough for Flapo, with releases on Dim Mak, official remixes for Saint WKND on Sony Music, and two massive performances at Club Space Miami. In 2017, Flapo accomplished many great goals by playing to a Sold Out crowd for the “Life In Color Festival” at the RC Cola Plant in Miami and getting his first Hype Machine #1 with his remix of 'Bones' by STéLOUSE.
With more major collaborations on the way, and a steady stream of originals in the works, Flapo is just getting warmed up.
