Amanda Bergman grew up in Dalarna, Sweden. She began writing music at an early age, and in her early twenties she began performing and recording under the stage name Hajen.
In 2010 she released her first EP under a new stage name, Idiot Wind, and quickly receiving praise from both Swedish and international press. Shortly thereafter, Amanda joined fellow Swedes First Aid Kit and The Tallest Man On Earth on global tours.
In 2016, Amanda released her first full length solo album Docks.
Amanda is also a member of critically acclaimed soft-rock band Amason.
