The Corpus Christi, Texas native Mando Saenz has become one of the most notable songwriters in Country and Americana music and has established a sound uniquely his own.
He was discovered by multi-award winning producer Frank Liddell in the early 2000s and since has collaborated with artists such as Kim Richey , Jim Lauderdale , Jack Ingram , Whiskey Myers , and Eli Young Band , and most recently with Miranda Lambert ("Bad Boy" from her double album The Weight of These Wings ), Midland (“Roll Away from their new hit record Let It Roll), and Lee Ann Womack (“Hollywood” off her latest record The Lonely, The Lonesome & The Gone). Mando has co-produced two records with Liddell (Stoney LaRue 2011 Velvet and 2014 Aviator ) and released 3 of his own records under Liddell’s Carnival Music label.
From the age of three months old, Saenz lived the nomadic life of a self-described ‘army brat’, living in five different cities all across the country by his fourth grade year. It was during his time at Texas Tech that he found his love for Texas Music and developed an interest in writing his own. After earning his MBA in San Antonio, Mando was unable to fight his urge for music any longer and moved to the Montrose area of Houston where he was able to hone his craft with artists like Hayes Carll and John Evans .
Currently, Mando is gearing up to release his fourth full-length studio album, produced by Grammy-nominated (and founding member of Wilco) Ken Coomer.
