Delta Underground is a Live Electronic group and collective hailing from Los Angeles, CA and Charlottetown, Canada. The project was formed while on a writing retreat at a castle in Tuscany when vocalist/songwriter Mike Scala teamed up with Canadian producer/songwriter Greg Alsop (Tokyo Police Club) and collaborators Kristian Attard (Zedd, Khalid), Will Wells (Logic, Anthony Ramos), and Marcus Miller (OneRepublic, benny blanco). When Greg and Mike's unique production style and different backgrounds combined, Delta Underground was born.
The group recently released their debut single, "Where The Wild Things Are" via their own Woodland Poodle Records, which has been steadily gaining traction worldwide and finding radio support across Canada, with Matt Berry of X92.9 stating "this isn't some indie sounding band... it's got indie dance floor vibes, a tinge of 80's pop and it's super catchy."
Throughout 2020, the group will release several more singles as they work towards their debut full-length album in Alsop’s Charlottetown, PEI based studio and announce upcoming tour dates shortly. They also remain active in a variety of humanitarian projects through Scala’s Foundation for Youth, helping to build schools, providing mental health support, disaster relief, programming for underserved youth in the US, Canada, and abroad, and work on COVID 19 Relief Efforts with WHO
