I just made songs that made sense to me and it turned out I wasn’t alone.”
This is one of the best singer songwriters and entertainers you’ve maybe never heard of. His live shows inspire thousands to return to the Gulf Coast each year.
Neil’s latest cd, Kiss Me Mama I Gotta Go is music you can almost see.
One of songs on this cd may be what Neil as a writer has been trying to say all these years. They say a writer is trying to say some version of the same thing over and over. “If You’re Looking For A Woman,” is the poignant story of strangers who meet in a bar and choose different paths based on a voicemail left by a lonely wife. It’s a hair-raising paradigm shift that leaves you thinking about yourself. That age old maxim, show don’t tell.
Neil produced most of this in Hendersonville, but two songs he did on the Boss 900cdr 8 track digital mixer by himself; Kiss My Big Texa$$, and Spend It On You. The story from Neil’s website is that he was watching a John Wayne western and these songs were inspired by the sound of a silver dollar hitting the bar of a western saloon.
Every song on this cd is a celebration.
