Independent rock band MIRY – led by frontman / songwriter Miryan Kostadinov - was born out of the harsh and wicked regime of post-soviet Bulgaria.
The band formed in 2016 with the addition of the talents of Pit Borisov (lead guitar), Svilen Ivov (bass guitar) and Antony Trandev (drums) and has now risen to the upper ranks of alternative rock in Bulgaria. Amassing over 1 600 000 views on YouTube and having a steady social media following of over 20 000, the band has quickly rocketed among the ranks of the most established independent modern rock bands from the Balkans. A hard-hitting, electrifying four-piece, MIRY’s style of music is a hard rock base with a grunge attitude, in the veins of Foo Fighters, Kaleo, Highly Suspect and Royal Blood. The band records with leading engineers in Bulgaria - RENEWSOUND studio - Zhivko Daskalov and Mihail Rusev, and their mixes are handled by Yanko Genov (Ireland). Recently the band has been utilizing the mastering skills of Joe La Porta (US) from Sterling Sound, who has worked with musicians such as: Foo Fighters, David Bowie, Imagine Dragons, X Ambassadors, The Weeknd, K. Flay, Rise Against, Bon Jovi and many others.
Known for their powerful, energetic live performances, MIRY has been a sought-after band and have had the honor to play on international festivals such as Hills of Rock, Hotalich Rock Fest, Cheonggyecheon Festival Seoul.
