During his time at Oakwood, Devin was awarded 1st prize at the 2012 Encore Festival of Composition, sang with and arranged for The Aeolians of Oakwood University, and during his last year, started professionally writing arrangements for Choir and Orchestra.
Devin received his Bachelor of Music Composition and Recording Arts in 2016.
In 2017, Morrison relocated to Tokyo where he collaborated with and produced for several artists including Kojoe, Fitz Ambro$e, Budamunk, 5lack, and ISSUGI. He also began crafting “DreamSoul” -- a genre best described as a musical mélange of Dreams, Surrealism and Nostalgia, his “Trinity of Inspiration.”
Devin now resides in Los Angeles where he is working on his debut album as well as producing for other artists and projects. Echoes of Commissioned and Take 6 are evident in his style of harmony, and his songwriting style is reminiscent of Donald Fagen and Akiko Yano. But his music is most influenced by his family, the Morrisons.
