Saudy Familia is a Dominican born Composer, Songwriter and Drummer from New York City. His passion for music emerged at a young age, singing and picking up the Piano at 4 years old with his father; but It wasn’t until his family immigrated to New York in 2003 that he would take his studies to the next level while attending Washington Heights Expeditionary Learning School (WHEELS) as a Jazz and Latin Jazz Drummer.
His love for creating music influenced by Brian McKnight and Marc Anthony would stand out a later on he would go study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music as a Composer and Arranger. 

In 2015, Familia would release his first Single “The One I Want”, a Latin Jazz/Salsa style composition with English lyrics. In 2016, he released his first full length 6 track Jazz album “Someone to Hold”, composed and arranged by him.


This year, Familia released his first Salsa composition and long awaited single “Only You and Me”.


This new single from Dominican roots artist Saudy Familia couldn't come at a better time. As a new generation emerges, Salsa music is needed more than ever to remind us that this music is in our bloods. Blending elements such as R&B, Salsa and Soul into Latin Jazz, while incorporating the English language to his songs, Saudy Familia hopes to attract the young American and Latino audience to the rhythms and sounds of the Caribbean.
