Snake Charm is a dramatic electric guitar pop duo consisting of Corey Hennessey (mouth sounds and hip-swinging) and Andrew McVey (guitar doodling and pedal pushing).
Corey and Andrew met when they recorded a cover of Linda Ronstadt’s cover of “Ooh Baby Baby” and then decided they wanted to sound like a new wave Nine Inch Nails covering Britney Spears instead. So they recruited a computer to do all the work and now they’re Snake Charm. Their self-produced debut EP, Fledglings 01-05 was released on September 19, 2018, after a number of successful shows opening for locals Community Center, Liberata, Heroine, J Pope and the Hearnow, and more! Both musicians live in Baltimore and have worked alongside other Baltimore musicians and performance groups. Corey Hennessey was a member of Stillpointe Theatre from 2012-2017 and is a repertory actor with the Baltimore Rock Opera Society featured on a number of their recordings.
