I started writing poetry when I was just starting sixth grade. I always looked up to my brother and he used to write poetry all the time to get the girls.
It was around this time that some powerful life lessons started to show their ugly heads, pretty much all at once. Not too long down the road I found a therapeutic gift in the poems that I would create. Started being able to process through my emotions and trust myself. I'm at the point in my life now where I feel confident about who I am as a person, and who I want to be. I'm going to be the person who refuses to accept that the world cannot change for the better.
