Her early influences include Jim Morrison, Elvis Presley and Peggy Lee which resonate in her music as she is reminiscent of the jazz icons she grew up listening to. With sultry vocals against the backdrop of minimal instrumentals, Imogen captivates her audiences with a breathtakingly dreamy delivery. Highlighting her poetic lyricism with her unique voice, Imogen has the ability to show her profound sound so unselfishly, so blissfully so wonderfully. Modern influences include The Maccabees, Lianne La Havas and The Last Shadow Puppets to name but a few who have all had a part to play in her development and love of Jazz and Rock & Roll.
2017 will bring further releases from Imogen, as she carves out her space as an artist.
'My head is in the clouds most of the time so I guess I would describe my sound as dream-pop. I listened to The Doors - ‘Waiting for the Sun’ which really inspired ‘Sands of Time’. I wrote it daydreaming about my future with somebody. I just love and long for romance, romantic gestures to and from those around me, and if that comes through then that’s really beautiful too'.
