Boston-based Indie Pop artist Brynn Elliott is a senior at Harvard University studying philosophy. The Atlanta native took a year off after graduating high school and began recording music in Portland and recently began working with songwriter and producer Nathan Chapman.
Elliott’s songs are often inspired by her life as a student, feminism, and her studies. Her debut single “Might Not Like Me” premiered in January of 2017 and was written while going through a break-up and taking a class about Early Modern women philosophers. The song was the first in a set of singles focused on the psychology of a breakup. Following the success of “Might Not Like Me”, Elliott was featured as a vocalist on Dzeko's viral hit “California” garnering nearly a million YouTube views in a week. She followed up her debut single in the summer of 2017 when she self-released the track “Psycho Stupid Crazy”, which chronicles stalking someone on Instagram post-breakup. When Elliott is not writing music, she is often writing on feminism with features in Darling, Obsessee, and The Crimson.
