Biru Baby released the album Ancient Call on March 16 2018, an 8-chapter journey through Sápmi, where the band explores their inheritance as Sámis (the Norwegian indigenous minority) in a modern world. Through a genre mix described as "The Best of Die Antwoord, BABYMETAL & The Prodigy».
Biru Baby, et. 2014, has slowly but surely built an underground fan base and a reputation as one of Norway's best live bands who «[...] are just about willing to die to make the audience understand the seriousness. And the game.» (Music journalist Ole Jacob Hoel). The band has focused on developing their artistic expression in a mix of EP releases, music videos and surreal live performances. During the Norwegian festival Trondheim Calling 2016, Biru Baby was named the most eccentric performance, and the overall “winners” of the festival by various music magazines.
«[Biru Baby]. What a band. I do not know if I’m in love or terrified»
