Now, as an adult, I have quite a few years experience of the nitty-gritty side of being an artist. From being the stereo typical “starving artist” and living off of rice and beans (which is still what I eat, because rice and beans are delicious), busking in Portland, playing coffee shops and open mics to traveling to over half a dozen countries.
No matter where I’ve been in life, no matter what type of darkness I’ve walked through, in moments where words would fail me . . . I found music.
My genre is still evolving and that excites me. Sometimes I have a hard time putting a label on my music. Often times I throw out words like “electronic”, “experimental” and “alternative”. I don’t know. I’m still figuring this thing out.
All I know is, I’m having the time of my life.
God only knows where we are headed next, and that’s fine with me. ;)
