Sydney was chosen to go to Los Angeles as part of American Idol's "Hollywood Week." She was among the 4,000 people in Nashville who auditioned for Season 14, and was one of only 37 contestants who walked away with a ‘Gold Ticket’.
Last year, Sydney was voted into the NashNext Top 10-- an artist development competition aimed at discovering and releasing music from prominent and talented newcomers. She worked with mentors Scott Borchetta (President, Big Machine Label Group) and judges Kix Brooks (of Brooks and Dunn) and James Stroud (Country Music Producer). Sydney and the rest of the Top 10 then went on a national tour with Warner Music artist RaeLynn.
Most recently, Sydney has been working on a new EP with Co-Writer and Producer Charlie Berry. Sydney has written all of the songs on the EP, and plans to release it in late spring, in conjunction with the release of her new single, "Don't Call."
