Towers and Trees has always been a heart-driven project - from their viral home-recorded single "Montreal," through the heady anthems of 2015’s "The West Coast" and the jubilant maturity of latest single "Head Down Heart Up." Every song is packed with an honesty and earnestness that is increasingly rare in this digital age.
In a way, the Canadian group’s sound reflects the rugged beauty of their Vancouver Island home. Charismatic songwriter and frontman Adrian Chalifour’s lyrics are steeped in stories and imagery from the Pacific Northwest, and lifted by the rich hooks and arrangements of bandmates Dave Zellinsky (lead guitar), Jesse Boland (drums) and Dave Arter (bass).
