42 King is a modern legacy punk band from Southern California. Formed in 2016 by vocalist Kurt Collins and guitar player Tucker Krishock. Kurt and Tucker grew up along side each other in North Carolina as babies, but had no idea. Kurt’s grandfather worked along side Tucker’s dad. It would take 22 years and a random band flyer to bring them together.
Once the jamming began, Kurt and Tucker gelled immediately. They would finish each other’s riffs and idea. With a rotation of drummers filling in. Kurt and Tucker needed to find a legendary drummer.
Because of the power of social media and a shared love for the New England Patriots. Kurt stumbled across Sam Ward’s Instagram. Immediately blown away by his drum videos, and the die hard love for the Patriots. Kurt reached out, sent some demos and the bond formed.
Kurt and Sam met in Hollywood over burritos and beer. They had a long conversation about the ethics of a band and love for the same music. So the woodshedding began. Jumpstart is the first single from the band with Collins, Krishock and Ward.
The name 42 King comes from the age Elvis died. With influence from bands like Nirvana, Beastie Boy’s and Zeppelin. 42’s stadium punk sound separates their brand of rock n roll from the rest.
Long Live Rock n Roll.
