Their musical backgrounds mix in Alex's classic and jazz influences, Mihai's melodic compositions and songwriting and productions with contemporary electronic music and alternative pop.
Formed in 2013, the group has had one of the quickest ascents in the Romanian electronic music scene. Winners of the "Best Electro" award in 2014, given by "Sunete" magazine, they became instant headliners all over the country.
In July 2015, Golan had their international debut at Open'er Festival in Gdynia, Poland, followed by numerous performances all across Europe.
By joining Parov Stelar in the Demon Diaries Tour for a total of ten concerts in March 2016, Golan also had the first European tour since their debut.
In March 2016, Golan signed and released their first EP intituled “Lonely Nights” with Etage Noir Recording (Austria).
After almost three years of activity, 2017 marked the release of the first studio album for the band, alongside Universal Music Romania. The release concert for the “Intro” album also debuted a new performance format for the band, called “Golan Symphonic”.
This format is a mix between a forty to sixty piece orchestra and the Golan members.
Taking place once a year at Arenele Romane in Bucharest, it was regarded by critics as one of the top performances of the years 2017 and 2018 in Romania.
