Rollercoasterwater is a Los Angeles based Psychedelic Pop project spearheaded by the queer identifying 3D artist Chuckie Behring.
Equally influenced by pop acts like Chairlift and A. G. Cook, the Vaporwave art movement, as well as experimental artists like Oneohtrix Point Never and foodman. In 2013 when he was the tender age of 19, Rollercoasterwater played his first show opening for the band Avey Tare's Slasher Flicks at The Echo in L.A. During which Avey Tare generously gave him a lot of very formative advice about singing, being a psychedelic musician, and staying true to yourself. In the following years after releasing Dripping Retina, his first proper album, Rollercoasterwater played every show offered to him, everything from bars, sound baths, and house parties, to underground raves in the desert and Los Angeles venues like The Smell and Non Plus Ultra. In 2018 Rollercoasterwater released his second, slightly darker bedroom pop home studio album Degauss Advance, and the first song off that album Sphere Diet was featured on Spotify's Exospheres playlist. In 2021 his newest album The Animator was released inspired by his foray into the field of animation. Rollercoasterwater is a queer musician who can tackle sugary bubblegum Hyperpop, luscious synth and guitar soundscapes, dance bass music, Noise Drone Pop, or psychedelic vocal looping.
