One of the hottest rock acts to come out of Miami’s Wynwood, rock band Prime Ministers are recording their much anticipated fourth album.
Originally comprised of “E/Ernie” Estrada (lead vocals, guitars & keys), “Pala” Varela (Guitars) and Nacho Granja (alternating vocals & guitar) old childhood friends in Ecuador. The band formed in late 2007 & while recording their first album, found themselves already booking a gig of a lifetime; opening for the famous Argentian band Soda Stereo. Adding Chimo Solorcano to play drums and Pedico Argüello to play bass and by 2009 they had their first album TAKE A RIDE, had landed their second dream gig opening for Santana and earned themselves two #1 spots on Latin American radio, Number 1 on MTV Latino, and were voted one of the top 50 best Latin American bands. They moved to Miami and soon were touring the UK, playing the Great Escape Festival & SXSW with their sophomore album NOW (produced by Max Heyes) and released in June 2014. In 2016, they had a switch up; are now comprised of “E/Ernie” Estrada (Lead vocals, guitars), Alex Zon (Drums) , “Shaggy” Garcia (Guitars and Vocals) and Alejandro Carrau (bass). They released their third album ASYMMETRIC in April 2017 and their single SATISFIED was in the top 10 College Radio, GIVE ME SOME was in “iTunes US Top 100” and toured the USA opening for La Ley. They are currently working on their follow-up album with producer Max Heyes (Massive Attack, Bloc Party, Primal Scream, The Clash).
