WORN ROBOT is Ottawa Ontario Native Cory C. Staying with a skilled student painter and musician friend of his, a collaborative piece was created one overnight in a Place St.Henri Apartment on the island of Montreal, Quebec.
Dubbed "Butane," hinting the evening's vapor of choice, later to "Worn Robot," by the friend, finally to "The Ghosts," appearing on a second Wr album in 2017 , (I.S.R.F.) Wr took his description returning to the countryside of his childhood in Osgoode Ottawa outskirts and created a Gmail acount under the pseudonym, and recorded 20 songs under this name in the winter of 2004. Recovering from an iv habit that he picked up in the big French City, C/Wr recorded these songs in his Father's basement office slash book den on a blue portable Imac, using a handheld taperecorder set on paude as his sole microphone, and his yamaha 1964 aoustic guitar he bought at an antique store near Concordia University. The walls of the den were soon to be lined with floor to ceiling bookshelves stuffed with his dad's books, mostly ecucational texts and religious text expositions Woodworking and Cabinet making classes were begun in Sept. 2005, after C himself admitting to receiving the idea to begin college during a syliicibic mushroom experience. He fled a party on Mont Royal hill to connect with his new female artist friend. She happened to be sanding a wooden chair she found in the garbage or on the street.
