They sound such as the favourites of the 80ies English Post Punk & Indie scene. In December 2016, they kicked off with their debut album “Everything’s Wrong”.
The reviews turned out the same result: an album that sounds very experienced, not like a debut (Bodystyler Magazine). Metal Heads Online even made it the “Debut of the year 2017”.
Exercise Two combine post punk’s aggression & new wave’s romantic in an impressive way. They already captured international attention, Metal Head Italy says “an intensive debut album of this band from Stuttgart” and they talk about “intelligent creativity and infinite passion”. On the lookout for romance, melancholia but also pure energy, rather the music than the telling of stories and the experience of listening did play the main role in their creative efforts. Free from conventions, Exercise Two created an international, very own and distinctive sound. Not making music for being a nice guy or whatever, making music, because of an inner drive. Authentically, honestly with an energising effect.
Many songs are not catchy at the first listen, sometimes rough and intense. Simultaneously they come very close to the listener. A soundscape in which all 80ies kids find themselves. Irritating pleasant and somehow captivating.
