Tim De Graaw is a singer, session guitarist, songwriter, and independent artist, channeling his influences from blues, soul, Americana, and roots-rock.
He was born in Johannesburg (South Africa) and grew up in London UK, where he first discovered his passion for blues and rock and roll, inspired by artists such as Eric Clapton, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Albert King, and Bob Dylan.
Tim moved to the United States to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston, as a guitarist and songwriter. He then spent time in both LA and Nashville where he worked as a session musician. It was here in the States where he found major sync success on hit TV shows such as 'Modern Family'. Tim later moved back to London to further develop his own artistry. His debut EP ‘Three Black Roses’ (2017) was recorded together with songwriter and producer, Jamie Evans (The Luka State, Jackaman, Wildwood Kin, Reigning Days).
“The energy and feel he puts into his music is undeniable. His new material is a sure indication that his music is destined to fill the hole in many a record collection.” - Jamie Evans
He's recently written and recorded out in Nashville at the well known Sound Emporium Studios in Nashville (TN), releasing singles such as 'Down To Earth', and 'Verona'. Over the summer of 2018, he teamed up with music engineer and mixer Colin Brain to record and produce his EP 'Serenade'.
