Though short-lived, this collaboration between Richie Hawtin, Dan Bell, and John Acquaviva brought instant recognition to the trio's recently birthed Plus 8 label and influenced legions of producers around the world with "Technarachy." This song in particular left a mark on many at the time of its release in 1990, functioning as one of the first clear-cut hardcore techno anthems.
A few other Cybersonik records -- Backlash, Trash, and Machine Gun -- followed on both Plus 8 and Hawtin's experimental techno label Probe. "Technarachy" remains a vital track, reappearing on the Plus 8 Classics: 1990 - 1992 collection. ~ Jason Birchmeier, Rovi
