During the mid- to late 2000s, he moved from television to musical theater, starring in the Spanish stage productions Hoy No Me Puedo Levantar, We Will Rock You, High School Musical, and Mamma Mia! As a pop vocalist, Diges was cast on the television reality show Eurovisión: Destino Oslo, the winner of which was chosen to represent Spain at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo, Norway. He was declared winner on February 22, 2010, with his performance of the song "Algo Pequeñito." A few months later, Diges proceeded to the Eurovision Song Contest, where he finished in 15th place behind winner Lena
