Ray grew up in the comparatively tranquil climes of Norway, travelling through cities like Oslo and Paris before settling in London. He has always been massively influenced by the metal, industrial and rock movements, cutting his teeth on artists like Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson.
After meeting Frankmusik at a party in London, the two collaborated in the studio, and birthed Ray’s first hit, punk/industrial stomper ‘Double Trouble’. It was released on Frankmusik’s label VDI records in late 2014, to critical success from publications like Esquire Magazine, Gay Times, and perezhilton.com, as well as international attention from South Korea to Colombia. Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton is a big fan of Ray Noir. The song charted at the German Alternative Charts & the Digital Hoarders Club Mix entered the international House Charts at number 1.
After the success of RAY NOIR has teamed up with Mariann Rosa of Surferosa fame for his new single “ALL ALONE”, a dark pop hymn about a break-up and the anger that comes with it.
